My last 2 CDs, "Oblivia" 2016 and "The Lowdown" 2013 are now available for digital download at the websites noted below. You can also order the CD to be delivered to your home at the same site. I am currently working on the as yet untitled one. With luck it should be available in February.

So, business now taken care of, I wish you all the best in 2017. It's gotta be better than 2016.

Summer!

[By Terry on 18/06/2015 with 0 Commments]

It's summer in Bavaria. That means a lot of sitting outside with a beer and gigs mostly around Bavaria where I live. In what was probably not the most well thought out decision I am spending this summer playing gigs pretty close to home. I reserve the long road trips with hours of waiting outside on train connections, etc. for the dead of winter when I can freeze my ass off. Some day I gotta fix this but it looks like not 2015.

I have finally figured out how to do this new CD. I have started and stopped twice because I couldn't get exactly the right approach. I liked the last CD. The band was good. The songs came pretty well. The recording was clean and nicely produced but I want something a bit closer to the bone on this upcoming one. Gradually I am understanding that just because you can add a part, no matter how cool it is, to a song sometimes it's better not to. Simplicity. Let the song breath a little. Don't over produce. That is going to be the mode I will use now. Luckily I have a circle of friends who are very, very good musicians to join me. I also have about 16 new songs from which I will probably do 10 plus a couple cool covers. Timo, the drummer on this project reasoned that it might help people who know nothing of me to find my music on the internet when they see a version of something they know and like done by me. Then hopefully they will check out the original material too. Makes sense as I think about it. Now all I have to do is figure out what to record. Too many great songs out there for this to be an easy decision.

So until you return to my site have a good summer, don't get any new tats with your current boyfriend or girlfriend's name (Trust me on this. Someday you'll thank me) and if we aren't friends on facebook maybe work on that. I will be posting MP3s of some of the new CD there as things progress. Here too probably. Cheers, Terry.
