Track ( from Babble On Every Blue Highway

[By Terry on 19/09/2020 with 0 Commments]

Track 8 from "Babble On", "Every Blue Highway".

This song has been in my set list for a long time but I never got around to recording it. There's a couple like this on the record.

I used to travel the Interstate Highway system a lot. I had favorite truck stops, restaurants, etc. Set cruise control, find something to listen to & watch the emptiness roll by. This song began at a truckstop in Wyoming one night, sitting at the counter watching us eat biscuits & gravy and getting the coffee thermos filled for another 200 miles.

Michael Sappington played mandolin. Freddy Dathe played bass & sang backing vocals.

The Art Of Recovery from Babble On

Track 7 from “Babble On”,”The Art Of Recovery”.

This song is all I know on getting through hard times. It's a coping mechanism. The 5th verse is cool to me because it went directly to the page in about the time it took to write it down. Usually you have to figure out how best to say something, you know, take a few minutes to get it right.

Carsten Remscheid  created the video. Thank you.
