revisiting "The Lowdown"
I'm getting a new edition of "The Lowdown" ready for making new CDs. I' traking some of the stuff out I was never happy with & putting some newer tracks. Listening to some of these songs brings back memories of where & when they were done. This being my oldest available record some of the tracks came over from the USA when I emigrated 20 years ago. They were part of a record I was supposed to finish but tranferring continents turned out to be complicated so it kinda slid to the back burner for a while. In reality it's a compilation of the best songs I could write over a long period on the move. First it was touring the States playing casinos mostly & then traveling around Europe until I finally settling in Germany, where I remain. It was recorded on four track machines in hotel rooms & cheap demo studios in Nashville. My deep love for reverb is much in evidence here & there.. Sorry about that. I'm getting better.
I'm getting the missing electric guitar tracks I need on 3 tracks next week. As ide for a vocal harmony I'll get when Freddie comes by that's it. All the tracks will need to be mixed & mastered, art work for the cover & probably stuff I don't know about that inevitably pops up but that's the easy part. It will all get done. Looking forward to this one being in the can.
